Dr. Jelson Yalung is thrilled to continue Dr. Dianne Chun’s tradition of excellence in providing outstanding orthodontic care to children and adults of the Bay Area. Dr. Jelson has over 10 years of orthodontic practice experience. He earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. While at UCLA, he also completed a General Practice Residency, providing advanced dental care to patients with severe medical problems in various hospitals throughout Los Angeles. Finding his passion in the specialty of Orthodontics, Dr. Jelson continued on to obtain a Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics at Loma Linda University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction held by less than 35% of the profession, and one that recognizes the doctor’s pursuit of continued clinical excellence and proficiency. Dr. Jelson is committed to providing personalized orthodontic care by helping every individual meet their specific orthodontic goals. He aims to provide the highest standard of treatment in a friendly environment, where you can work one on one with him to make sure you receive the very best treatment result for you. Dr. Jelson is an active member of the following professional organizations: American Association of Orthodontists, American Board of Orthodontics, California Dental Association, Southern Alameda County Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. He actively pursues continuing education to stay abreast of the latest developments in orthodontics. Besides perfecting smiles, Dr. Jelson enjoys exploring new places, learning about different cultures, and outdoor adventures with his wife, who is from the Bay Area. He also enjoys open water swimming in the San Francisco Bay, biking, running, and has completed multiple Ironman distance triathlons.
